Ingredients

  • For the Brownies:
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
    • 3 oz dark chocolate (70% or higher, sugar-free if possible)
    • 1/2 cup powdered erythritol (or your preferred keto sweetener)
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 1/4 cup almond flour
    • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1/2 tsp baking powder
    • Pinch of salt
  • For the Spiderweb Decoration:
    • 1/4 cup sugar-free white chocolate chips
    • 1 tsp coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter and chocolate: In a saucepan, melt the butter and dark chocolate together over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  4. Combine wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, erythritol, and vanilla extract together. Gradually stir in the melted chocolate mixture until smooth.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until fully combined.
  6. Bake: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool the brownies: Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before adding the spiderweb decoration.
  8. Make the spiderweb: In a small bowl, melt the sugar-free white chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Pour the melted white chocolate into a piping bag or a plastic bag with the corner snipped off.
  9. Decorate the brownies: Starting from the center of the brownies, pipe the white chocolate in concentric circles. Then, drag a toothpick from the center outward to create a spiderweb pattern.
  10. Chill and serve: Place the brownies in the fridge for 15-20 minutes to set the spiderweb. Cut into squares and serve at your Halloween party or enjoy as a spooky snack!
