Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 10 slices bacon, cut in half
  • 4 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into thin strips
  • Black olives, sliced, for eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Mix ground beef, Parmesan, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Roll into meatballs. Wrap each meatball with half-slices of bacon, leaving small gaps for the “mummy” look.
  4. Bake for 18–22 minutes, until the bacon is crisp and the meatballs are cooked through.
  5. Add thin mozzarella strips during the final 2 minutes if you want a melted mummy-wrap effect.
  6. Press olive slices on for eyes after baking and let rest 3 minutes before serving.
