Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 10 slices bacon, cut in half
- 4 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into thin strips
- Black olives, sliced, for eyes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Mix ground beef, Parmesan, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Roll into meatballs. Wrap each meatball with half-slices of bacon, leaving small gaps for the “mummy” look.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, until the bacon is crisp and the meatballs are cooked through.
- Add thin mozzarella strips during the final 2 minutes if you want a melted mummy-wrap effect.
- Press olive slices on for eyes after baking and let rest 3 minutes before serving.
